The Fine and the Familiar

Our bride a couple of weeks ago mastered the art of mixing vintage and elegant styles for her wedding reception in Sandy. She had a great balance between the styles and made a very inviting place for her guests. True to form, our bride continued the theme of mixing old and new with the food she chose; she decided to mix familiar items with fancy selections.

She picked what she likes, He picked what he likes

This buffet truly reflected the personalities of the bride and groom. On one table- the pizza table- a sign read, “I like you more than I like pizza, and I really like pizza.” As you went around the beautiful backyard reception, you knew what dish was contributed by who.

The Bride’s choices:

Coconut shrimp action station– fried fresh- with a sweet chile dipping sauce; green salad with mangoes, blackberries and a coconut dressing; mini crab cakes with a mango aioli; a platter of fresh summer fruits

The Groom’s choices:

Sweet BBQ pork sliders with optional “Angry” onions; three types of gourmet thin crust pizza: chicken alfredo with spinach and artichokes, gorgonzola onion with pears, margherita with fresh basil

They shared:

Colorful French macarons, three types of gelato: strawberry peach, chocolate hazelnut, and salted caramel gelato; white and chocolate milk with chocolate chip cookies; crystal punch with frozen fruit skewers

k food 2We filled our macarons with different fillings. We had chocolate ganache, pina colada frosting, blackberry mousse, chocolate frosting, and cheesecake mousse. Can you see the gold sprinkles, too?

We had a lot of fun catering this wedding. Best wishes to the bride and groom!
