How much am I expected to spend on catering for my wedding?

For weddings, your catering budget should be about 30% of your total budget.

How much food should I order?

This depends on time of day and demographic of your guests. Guests will eat more at an event that starts at 5pm as opposed to one starting at 7pm. Teen-aged guests will eat more than an elderly crowd. Similarly, football players will eat more than a diet-conscious health group. Also, when ordering, make sure to check the calendar for any major public events i.e sporting events, popular vacation weekends.

Are your appetizers based per serving or per person?

We figure the price for our appetizers per person, but what is actually served is usually more than one a person. You can be assured that everyone will have enough to eat.

What’s included in the free decorated buffet?

A free decorated buffet is included in every order (except for pick up or delivery). The buffet decoration includes relevant chafers, heat lamps, or coolers needed to keep your food either warm or cold; hand made signage; decorative platters, cake stands, risers and other decorations to fit the event’s colors, theme, or style. It DOES NOT include tables or linens. You may rent tables and linens from us at an additional cost.

Do you have a minimum order for catering?

Our minimum order is for 30 people. For events with fewer than 30 people, personal chef pricing will apply. Inquire for more details.

Do you travel?

Yes; if your venue is anywhere inside Salt Lake or Utah county there is no travel fee. Outside of those counties will incur a travel fee, Johnson Mill and Sundance venues excepted. See our policy page or inquire for more details.

What if I’m not holding my event at an event center? Do you cater at private homes?

Yes, we can cater at private residences, backyards, parks, etc.

Do you provide alcohol?

Yes; there are some caveats to this answer. Please check out our “Alcohol” Policy on our policy page or inquire for more details

Can I add food from other vendors or relatives to the buffet?

We do not allow any other food- either from other vendors, catering companies, or relatives- on your catering order. Alcohol may be an exception. Inquire for more details.

Instead of serving my mocktail in your specialty glassware, can I serve it from a drink dispenser?

Yes, you may.

When do I pay the deposit? Final payment?

Your event isn’t officially booked with us until the deposit is paid. It is better to pay the deposit sooner rather than later, that way  you can be sure your date is available. Final payment will be collected AT the event.

How do I pay?

Do you offer tastings?

Yes, we do. We charge $50.00/person for up to 6 items. Payment will be received before tasting begins. If you end up using us for your event, that tasting fee will applied to your order. Please check out our “Tastings” Policy on our policy page or inquire for more details.
